Exercise and Fitness programs/classes for older adults
Chair Exercise - cardiovascular and muscle conditioning, that uses a chair for additional support. This low-key workout is ideal for the beginner or those with mobility issues. Beginner fitness level
Low Impact - choreographed class is geared towards anyone who is looking for a low impact workout that focuses on both cardio and muscular conditioning. Beginner fitness level
Low Impact Plus - choreographed class geared towards anyone who is looking for a low impact workout that focuses on both cardio and muscular conditioning. Intermediate fitness level
Yoga Chair - using a chair for seated and standing poses, chair yoga provides an opportunity to stretch, tone and relax in a comfortable way. Great for beginners to yoga and makes a yoga practice more accessible. Expect to ease tensions, loosen up the body, and improve range of motion. Beginner fitness level
Balance and Flexibility - participants will warm up, stretch out muscles, and work on balance to improve fitness and overall well-being. An asset to any fitness program, balance training helps strengthen the brain/body connection, which can help reduce the risk of falls. All fitness levels are welcome. Beginner fitness level
Yoga - relaxes the mind and body to help handle everyday stress. This natural exercise program is designed to tone muscles, enhance blood circulation and calm the nervous system. Beginner fitness level. This program may incorporate floor work. Required Equipment: Non-slip Yoga mat

Required Equipment: Clean indoor athletic shoes
Programs occurring at Bob Callahan Flower City Senior Centre will require a Flower City Senior Membership in order to register for a spot in drop-ins or registered programs
